Measure Your Mission @ 501Partners
Sep 22 @ 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
Measure Your Mission @ 501Partners | Boston | Massachusetts | United States

In this three-hour session, facilitated by Ellen Bass of the Capacity Institute and 501Partners’ Stefanie Archer, participants will learn how to create manageable and sustainable systems to evaluate, measure, and improve organizational and program performance.

Facilitators will demonstrate a process enabling attendees to build an outcomes management system to meet their organizational missions, adopt a model of continuous improvement, and use a data feedback loop:

  • Use benchmark tools to assess organizational effectiveness
  • Know how to determine which core data is necessary
  • Engage staff in a change process to implement the measurement framework in the organization

Who should take this workshop:
Any staff interested in improving program performance and outcomes—executive leadership, board members, and program, evaluation, and development staff.

WEBINAR: Salesforce Lightning–How Does THAT Strike You? @ Virtual
Sep 27 @ 12:00 pm – 12:30 pm
WEBINAR: Salesforce Lightning--How Does THAT Strike You? @ Virtual

Salesforce has launched Lightning, an updated version of its best-in-class business database. Lightning has a dramatic look, but it’s more than just a new user interface–Lightning includes many technical updates to speed data entry and reporting. This webinar will explore the differences between Lightning and the familiar Classic versions, to help you and your organization consider whether — or when — to migrate to Lightning.

Some key differences

  • Easy to search
  • Easy to create new Contacts and Accounts
  • Able to create Primary Affiliations “on the fly” from within a Contact record
  • No force.com menu — creating fields and editing layout must be done from Setup menu
  • New page layout function gives greater control over appearance of record, but requires additional effort to update layout
  • No more dashboards — when properly formatted, report charts can appear directly on the Home page

What attendees have said about Bootcamp

“Overall, great job! Working while learning was extremely helpful. I was able to learn a lot that will make me stronger and more effective while using Salesforce.”

“I wish I had taken this class 1.5 years ago, it would have made my job a lot easier!”

“Thank you so much for a great workshop! I definitely learned a lot, and I look forward to diving into Salesforce and seeing what it can do for our organization.”

Paul, the presenter was awesome! The best part was that he was able to pause and answer questions, and then continue with his train of thought. He’s very easy to understand, and able to demonstrate on the screen how to actually do things, including when answering random questions.”

“Watching an experienced user use Salesforce really teaches you a lot more than just trying to read manuals or help pages on your own. It was also useful to hear how the other attendees use salesforce at their companies.”
